Revenge on Denver......maybe

What a mess.............Browns

For those out there who are angry, disgruntled, and confused about the Cleveland Browns and the decisions they have made recently, I will clear things up for all!

1. The Browns did in fact fire their 1st year head coach Rob Chudzinski. Since he still had 3 years left on his contract, the Browns had to pay $10.5 million for his way out of Cleveland.

-This was a shock to pretty much everybody in the entire league, not to mention those of us by the shores of Lake Erie. This was a perplexing move to say the least due to the fact coach Chud only had 1 year with the Browns (very unheard of in the NFL). Needless to say losing the last 7 games, not starting Brian Hoyer over Weeden at the start of the season, and (according to reports inside the Browns) with not being on the same page with everyone in the front office sufficed being fired. Whatever the reasons were, the Browns are now moving forward with another coach and adding to the mess that is the Cleveland Browns

How do we get out of this mess, is what I'm sure your all asking yourselves. We need stability at the QB position

2. Who will the Browns draft #4 overall in this year's upcoming draft?

-Reports dating back to the start of the college football season has the Browns linked to QB and former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel (a.k.a. Johnny Football) He had an amazing performance last night, solidifying his status as a franchise Quarterback on the next level. Johnny brought his team back from being down  21 points and finishing an amazing comeback in more than likely his last college football game. Back to the Browns and Manziel. The Browns currently hold the #4 overall pick in the draft. This would be a HUGE opportunity for the Browns to make a splash and change the attitude and perception of the franchise. With the Browns having 10 picks in the draft (5 of them being in the first 3 rounds of 7), there is no way we should miss out on going after this franchise player. As you may have read in previous blogs, I think highly of Johnny Football for a number of reasons. He CAN and WILL be a polarizing figure wherever he goes in the NFL. Cleveland could really use him.

(Johnny Manziel in a photoshoped Browns uniform......it looks like a perfect fit to me)

3. Who is going to be the Browns new head coach?

-If we all recall, the Browns head coaching search started with Chip Kelly (who almost agreed to being the coach of the Browns last year), then rumor had it that we tried a few other candidates and THEN we finally picked Rob Chudzinski. I always wanted the Browns to look at Josh McDaniels. He is a disciple of Bill Belicheck, who is also a native of Canton Ohio. He played QB at JCU, which is really close to Cleveland. Now McDaniels was a head coach in 2009-2010 for the Denver Broncos. His record was 11-17 as a head coach. Fun fact, if you remember he picked some guy named Tim Tebow. Anyway, he ultimatley was not all that successful as a head coach.  I only bring his name up is because of the General Manager of the Browns Mike Lombardi. Lombardi is very very close friends with Bill Belichick, who has groomed McDaniels into who he is, and speaks very highly of him. Remember in point 1 where we talked about how Rob Chudzinski sometimes disagreed with the front office???? Well, needless to say, McDaniels would not have that problem because of his close relationship with Lombardi. It almost seems like to me that these two had this planned for a very long time, and one may venture to say McDaniels is almost a shoe in for the new Browns job. I would include myself in this category. I honestly believe he knows he is going to be the head coach of the Browns, and is currently trying to hire his staff as we speak. The McDaniels to Cleveland idea just seems too much like a perfect fit. Hell, the greatest quarterback of all time had nothing but positive things to say about his offensive coordinator - ""Josh is the best offensive coach I could ever imagine," Brady told WEEI-FM Tuesday. "He's so prepared; he's so confident in what he does. He figures out a way every week to get us in the best position as players to win. I have so much respect for him and what he does for me, what he does for our team. He's just a great coach." (Cleveland.com) So I trust his judgement, all in all Josh McDaniels intrigues me. I understand he did not have the most success being a head coach already, but not everyone does........ala Bill Belichick << Cleveland remembers him right??

4. Revenge towards Denver (finally.....maybe)

- So every Cleveland sports fan remembers "The Drive" and "Red right 88", which both ended with losses to John Elway and the Denver Broncos in the playoffs. Second, every Cleveland sports fan remembers when the immortal and greatest coach ever Bill Belichick was a head coach here from 1991-1995 where he went 36-44, leading them to the playoffs in 94' where he ironically beat the New England Patriots (his current team where he has won 3 Super Bowls during his 13 year stint......3 THREE.....3.....3......3) Now, of course we all know the EVIL Art Modell moved the Browns after the 95' season, which sent Bill on his way out of Cleveland, where he quite possibly may have had the same success. Can you imagine? So how does this all come full circle you might ask?

Belichick had his first real head coaching job in Cleveland, becoming not so successful where he then headed out of town to New England where he had ULTIMATE success.

Josh McDaniels also had a rough go in Denver during his first stint as a head coach there, maybe he just needs a second chance? Maybe he in fact has learned from his mistakes.

And again, McDaniels has not been named HC of the Browns, so this is all speculation until then....but I truly have a hunch about this one.

Now, where does the revenge come into play? Hmmmm......Well on account Denver let go of McDaniels, and all of the past history the Browns have had with the Broncos, doesn't it seem this fairytale story will end with a hometown coach winning a Super Bowl for his city and rubbing it in Denver's face (because they let him go) and vindicating Cleveland sports?

So a disciple of Bill Belichick will come and bring  success to Cleveland , where in my opinion Belichick would have had all the success.

Oh and of course, beating Denver will be esstnetial. Suck it Peyton and your Papa Johns

We will just have to wait and see.......
